Body Language

Abstract

Body language has been playing an important role in the development of understanding of people’s thoughts and ideas. Body language includes different gestures, movements, and face expressions that tell about human’s feelings and emotions that cannot be described via means of words. People have to learn body language in order to control personal signs and movements when there is such a need and in order to interpret what other people say or intend to say. People accept more than 90% of information with the help of body language. There are a lot of people with different types of disabilities, who use body language as the only means of perception of information. The research paper will cover a lot of issues that will help better realize the importance of body language in practical life. Keywords: body language, gestures, movements. A lot of people use body language to express their feelings and emotions. People are social beings, who use a nonverbal type of communication more frequently than a verbal type of communication. The research paper will cover the questions that are closely connected with the concept of body language. The hypotheses of the research paper are the following ones: people use a nonverbal type of communication unconsciously; they use body language more frequently than a verbal language; people use body language to express the core of their ideas that can be revealed with the help of emotions, expressions, and gestures only. The hypotheses of the paper will be either supported or refuted in the process of conducting a research. 1.
