Learning early is the most important element in a child’s educational experience. It is never too early to start teaching them. It represents a great investment of time, love, patience and consistency that will pay off in the end. In the other hand a child can be taught easier in the comfort of his home, allowing them to learn at their own pace guided by the loving concern of the parents. Going through this constructive experience will teach children how to follow rules and direction, get use to homework and responsibilities follow schedules, as well as build a better relationship between the child and school elements.
Learning can be an exciting experience for a child, when his training star in an early stage, “at home’.
They will feel more confident and will develop a great sense of self-esteem, if by the time they start at the school they already know how to read, and write in order to face the future challenges that lie ahead.
Learning early will develop skills that they can later help them to succeed in the school system. Once the have a base of knowledge it will be part of their learning experience. They will be better students, better persons and therefore successful learners, since they were taught at an early stage to develop study habits and have responsibilities that can built in as time goes by .
I started teaching my toddler who is now a four year old boy attending Pre-K in a Public School in Manhattan. Before he was two years old. It is not a matter of being gifted, it is not about being special, the key is consistency, and lots of patience. Structuring a good plan that allows them to learn at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed ; is the main key to success as well as gathering the appropriate materials: flash cards colors, paints, anything that can be this wonderful experience enjoyable.
There are also others factors to be considered such as the sense of proud and personal satisfaction that a parent can experience when a family member, friend or teacher compliments your child and tell you how great is the job you being doing by teaching your child at home. There is nothing more rewarding that taking a walk with your Three year old child and heard him reading al the signs displayed on the streets, reading signs in a park or reading a book for a smaller friend.
Teaching a child before he goes to school will give them the starting tools to do a better job in school. Education goes hand on hand so parents have to be prepared to assume the role of teacher
In order to help their children to achieve academic excellence in the future.
